Plenty of Parking

DRIVING: All streets are anticipated to be open during the Oktoberfest @ Tempe Town Lake. Traffic will be limited on Friday evening between 6:30 and 7:30 PM on Mill Avenue between 4th  Street and Rio Salado Parkway   to facilitate the Parade of Flags. Mill Avenue will be open to pedestrian traffic. For details visit:  www.tempe.gov/streetclosures

CLOSEST / EASIEST PARKING:  Rio Salado Parkway and Hardy Dr. for event parking with FREE shuttle. This is the most convenient Oktoberfest parking and is available for $10.00.  FREE shuttle service will run every 15 minutes to Tempe Beach Park starting 30 minutes before the event and continuing 30 minutes after the event ends.

Famer & 5th Street Parking Lot is also available for $10.00 with shuttle bus.

To avoid Mill Avenue traffic route yourself to Priest Drive and proceed east on Rio Salado Parkway to the Hardy Dr. – Rio Salado parking lot


There are several thousand parking spaces in the Mill Avenue District.

Parking for downtown events has typically been $10.00.
Note: Tempe parking meters are free after 10 PM and free all-day Sunday.

DISABLED PARKING:  Public parking is always free for people with disabilities at parking meters and lots and garages designated by the blue PARKING LOT signs.  Simply make sure your handicap sign is clearly visible.  Hayden Ferry Lakeside and US Airways are the nearest paved lots.  

Limited disabled parking available in the lot west of Tempe Beach Park.

All FLASH buses and FREE Event Shuttles are wheelchair accessible.
